Three more Yellow Springs High School athletes are college bound.
Football may return to Yellow Springs High School this year if efforts to organize a team by new Head Coach Clayton Wolfe and new Athletic Director Steve Rossi are successful.
The decision of the Yellow Springs High School administration not to field a football team this fall for the first time since 1993 has impacted the school community. While the low number of players ultimately forced the program’s closure earlier this month, at least one local student has since chosen to transfer to a school with an active football team, and several others are considering doing the same.
YSHS football practice will begin Wednesday, August 4, 5–7 p.m. Those interested in playing should call coach Craig McCann at 532-5111.

Lois Miller won the third race of her freshman year on Saturday, Sept. 26, taking the title at the 28th annual Bellbrook cross country invitational. The Lady Bulldogs, with 59 points, improved their season record by taking home the second place trophy, just behind Bellbrook with 25 points, and ahead of Wilmington in third with 69.
