The local artist and new business owner is working to make sure that desire becomes a reality with Getaways for Women, a retreat service that she hopes will introduce area women to the village’s many resources.
With all the abundance and richness in town, “I’m like a connector,” Mellon said. “I’m a local host.”

A celebration of the life of Keith Erin Kinney will be held on his birthday, Saturday, Sept. 18, beginning at 1 p.m. at Camp Greene, located at 3452 Grinnell Road in Glen Helen. All who knew Kinney are invited to share memories and stories of his life. The event will be held indoors and masks will be required.
