ART AROUND TOWN

• The Glen Helen Atrium Gallery is showing the fifth annual Glen Helen Association Members Show, Jan. 8–Jan. 30. The public is invited to meet the artists at the opening reception on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2–4 p.m. Show hours at 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. • Sara M. Gray’s photographs will be on display and for sale at Ha Ha Pizza for the months of December and January.

• “Emergent Visions: Antiochians Make Art,” is at the Herndon Gallery in South Hall at Antioch College. Gallery hours for the show are 1–4 p.m., Tuesday–Sunday.

• Inspirational ceramic wall art by Lisa Wolters is on display in the mini-gallery at Eden World.

Short film fest seeks submissions

The Little Art Theatre will host the second annual Yellow Springs Short Film Festival on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at 1 p.m., to be repeated on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. Short film submissions are now being accepted, with entries being limited to finished films only. The deadline for entry is Friday, Jan. 7. Entry fees are $5 for early deadline and $10 for regular deadline, with entry date determined by postmark.

To be considered for entry, the majority of each film must have been shot in one of the following counties: Greene, Montgomery, Clark, Madison, Fayette, Clinton or Warren. Exceptions may be made if a filmmaker from one of those counties shot their film elsewhere. Films should be no longer than 15 minutes.
