Vaccine eligibilty

CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE

Phase 1A:
As of Dec. 2020:
Front-line healthcare workers, EMS first responders, long-term care facility residents and staff

Phase 1B:
As of Jan. 19:
80 and older;
as of Jan. 25: 75 and older, those with severe congenital, developmental and early onset medical disorders and an intellectual disability;
as of Feb. 1: 70 and older, school teachers and staff;
as of Feb. 8: 65 and older;
as of Feb. 15: those with severe congenital, developmental, or early-onset, and inherited conditions without an intellectual disability.

Phase 1C:
As of March 4: people with type 1 diabetes, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), who are pregnant, or who have received a bone marrow transplant; childcare center and preschool employees, funeral service workers, law enforcement and corrections officers.

Phase 2:
As of March 4:
Those 60 and older.

Phase 1C—
As of March 4:

NEWLY ELIGIBLE

Phase 1E:
As of March 19:
Those with cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease and obesity.

Phase 2C:
As of March 19:
Those 40 and older.

Starting on March 29, the vaccine will be available to all Ohioans 16 and older (Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized for 16 and 17 year olds).

The vaccine will be made available to other groups not listed as supply increases.

    HI Debbie! I don’t believe there’s an option to choose which vaccine you receive, unless you explicitly go to a clinic that is offering one over the other, or perhaps the latest Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine.

    The link to register at does not show a choice to select for the Covid 19 shot.
