Barbara Ruth Wilson of Yellow Springs, died Wednesday, March 25, in her residence, with her family by her side. She was 73.
She was born Nov. 16, 1935, a daughter of Edward James and Margaret (Cohn) Hartman in Springfield, Ohio. Barbara never turned away anyone in need, especially children. She enjoyed shopping, reading and her greatest love was sitting on the front porch with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David L. Wilson; brothers, James Edward Hartman and John Richard Hartman.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly L. Spriggs of Yellow Springs; granddaughters, Eden Spriggs and Isabelle Mensink; sister, Virginia Martin of Springfield; sister-in-law, Nancy (Sonny) Catron; special friends, Amy Campbell and Carrie Mac; several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Kadie. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff from Crossroads Hospice. Private services were held.
