Boys run to sixth
With only seven competitors due to spring break, the YSHS boys track team finished sixth out of eight teams at a windy, rainy Versailles Invitational on Saturday, April 3. Houston won the meet, and Minster finished second.
First-place finishers for the Bulldogs were Mario Cosey, who finished the 100 meters in 11.93, and the 400-relay team of Logan Norris-Sayres, Antone Truss, Chris Johnson and Cosey who finished in 47.8.
The 800-relay team of Norris-Sayres, Josh Meadows, Johnson and Cosey finished second, while Johnson took third and Truss finished fifth in the long jump.
Sixth-place finishes were turned in by Norris-Sayres in the 100 meters, Gabe Amrhein in the mile and Truss in the high jump. Meadows took seventh in the 400, and Amrhein was eighth in the 800. Mitchell Brickson also competed well in the 800 and mile.
