The Twins managed to win their last two games of the season and maintain an undefeated record to win the major league regular season championship for the second year in a row.

The first of their final two games was a 6–2 win over the Athletics on Monday, July 26. The teams were tied at 2 through the fourth inning on runs scored by Colton Hicks and Jared Scarfpin for the Twins, and Ethan DeWine and Grant Reigelsperger for the A’s. But the Twins went ahead for good with three more runs in the fifth from Scarfpin, Joe Thorpe and Liam Weigand, with Scarfpin scoring once more in the final inning.

The same two teams squared off again in the final game of the season on Wednesday, July 28, with the Twins winning 12–3. The teams were tied at 1 after three innings, but again in the fourth inning the Twins broke out with five runs scored by Scarfpin, Andrew Clark, Thorpe, Kaner Butler and Hicks. The twins then added six more runs in the final inning, with Thorpe, Scarfpin and Hicks each crossing the plate again, along with J.T. Clark, Weigand and D.J. Carsner. Danny Grote, Carter Collins and Grant Reigelsperger all scored for the A’s, who had some outstanding defensive moments, including a pair of throw-outs at the plate to catcher Collins.

The Twins finished the season with a 12–0 record, followed by the Royals at 3–8 and the A’s at 3–10.
