Meredith ‘Dal’ Dallas

Meredith Dallas, theater director, actor, teacher and psychologist died peacefully in the company of family at the Friends Care Center on Nov. 1 at 2 a.m. He was 93.

Meredith, known to his friends and colleagues as Dal, had been living with his wife, Willa, at the Friends Care Center for the past year. He and Willa had been married for 70 years; they had lived in Yellow Springs for more than 60 years. He is survived by Willa, by four grown children and their partners, Barrie and Peter Grenell, Patti Dallas and Marianne MacQueen, Wendy Dallas and Anne Block, Tony Dallas and Migiwa Orimo; by grandchildren Paloma Dallas, Alex Grenell and Nathania Dallas; by great-grandchild Camila; and by sisters Eunice George and Marjorie Kammer and numerous offspring.

A more complete obituary will follow in next week’s Yellow Springs News, as will information concerning a memorial service to be held at a future date.
