YSKP celebrates new space with performances, dancing tonight
- Published: April 16, 2011
Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse invites the community to its Housewarming Fundraiser Celebration tonight, Saturday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the Playhouse, its new home on the Antioch College campus. The evening features a host of dramatic and musical performances, good food and groovy dancing.
The performers include Bruce Cromer, Louise Smith, Walter Rhoades, Kevin Mulhall, Libby Scancarello and the whole cast of the Yellow Springs High School’s upcoming production of Chicago, 23 of whom are YSKP alumns.
YSKP has provided arts education programming for the children and youth in and around the Yellow Springs and Miami Valley area since 1995. The organization is funded by a combination of grants and individual donations which are used to support the unique contribution that arts education makes in the lives of local youth.
YSKP’s outside funding has been significantly reduced this year. The group hopes to use this evening’s event to continue the original programming that has been its hallmark for over 16 years.
