Yellow Springs quite the Experience

Last night, the village of Yellow Springs let loose its finest in revelry with the Cirque Carnival. The carnival was the grand opening to this weekend’s Yellow Springs Experience; three days of activities and fun for townies and visitors alike. The Yellow Springs Experience is a collaboration between the Yellow Springs Arts Council, destinationyellowsprings.com, YS Kids Playhouse and Cirque Carnaval.
The carnival was a feast for the eyes and ears. Bellydancers, firedancers, musical performers and stilt-walkers created a marvelous tableau of human creativity. It was hard to decide exactly what to focus on, with so many colorful costumes and events floating around. It’s also hard to imagine how many small, mid-western towns put on such a party like the Yellow Springs Experience. Not many!
