Cliff Robertson

Cliff Robertson, actor and Antioch College alumnus, died Saturday, Sept. 10 in Long Island. He was 88.
Robertson studied journalism briefly at Antioch College, and worked as a reporter in Springfield, Ohio before leaving for New York to pursue a career in acting. Robertson is most famous for playing the title role in the film Charly, for which he won an Academy Award. More recently, Robertson starred as Uncle Ben in the trio of Spiderman films.
Robertson is also known for exposing Columbia Pictures president David Begelman’s check fraud in 1977, which effectively blacklisted Robertson from film work for several years.
