Geis replaces Omlor as leader of YSI
- Published: October 28, 2011
At a meeting of YSI employees worldwide last week, ITT announced that Ron Geis has been named the new general manager of YSI, replacing the local company’s former president and CEO, Rick Omlor. Omlor will stay on with the company as YSI’s executive advisor.
ITT purchased YSI this summer, and Geis formerly served as the Director of Global Operations for ITT Analytics. At the time ITT purchased YSI, the parent company was in the process of splitting into three publicly traded companies, including Zylem, which will be the parent company for YSI when the deal is finalized at the end of the month.
Xylem is a global water technology provider, developing products for the transport, treatment, testing and efficient use of water for public utility, residential and commercial uses and industrial and agricultural settings. The company is headquartered in White Plains, N.Y.
