Mike Kelley
- Published: December 8, 2011
Mike was born July 21, 1946 in Cincinnati to the late Myrl and Lillian (Sanders) Kelley. He served his country in the Navy and earned two bronze stars and a Vietnam Campaign medal. He worked in maintenance at Yellow Springs Instruments and Measurement Specialties of Dayton for 35 years.
He was a loving and patient husband, father and grandfather, and loved playing ball with his grandchildren. He could frequently be found in his flannel shirts, which he loved to wear. Mike always had a plan and if plan A did not work there were always plans B, C or D. He was a friend to all, always willing to help family and friends, and was known as the “fixer.”
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Helen Kelley, by daughter Melissa Kelley, sons Lee, Phillip and Bill Kelley, by several grandchildren and by sisters Barbara and Judy. He will be deeply missed.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 5, at Jackson, Lytle and Lewis Funeral Home in Yellow Springs, with burial in Jamestown Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting http://www.jacksonlytle.com.
