Ruth Ricket

Ruth was born on April 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Emma (Rowles) Ricket. Ruth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Yellow Springs where she was very actively involved. She graduated from Ohio University and worked in the admissions office at Antioch College, where she had many special friends. Ruth also loved to travel and will be deeply missed.
Ruth is preceded in death by her three brothers, Rob, Fred and Ralph Ricket; and by her special friend, Mabel Weiss. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Alma Ricket; nieces and nephews, John and Beverly Shaffer, Fred and Jayne Shaffer, Janet and Ned Loos, Bob Ricket, Jim and Marcia Ricket and Susan Henwood and numerous other great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the Bothwell family, Friends Care Center and Kim Wilcoxen and her staff for all the love, care and compassion they gave Ruth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ruth to the First Presbyterian Church in Yellow Springs.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church.
