Martin Murie

Martin Murie, former Yellow Springs resident and Antioch College faculty member, died Jan. 28 after a brief illness. He was 86.
Martin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alison, of Xenia, daughters Raven Murie, Norah Byrnes and Janet Murie of Yellow Springs, grandchildren Linnet Leuba of Vancouver, British Columbia, Jonas Byrnes of Yellow Springs, Alex Byrnes of Chicago, Ill., Rose and Olivia Byrnes of Carrboro, N.C., sister Joanne of Massachusetts, brother Donald of California and numerous nieces and nephews. A more detailed obituary will follow in a future issue of the Yellow Springs News.
