Police apprehend local bank robbers

Three suspects from Springfield attempted a bank robbery at Wesbanco at 50 Kahoe Lane shortly after 10 a.m. this morning. According to the Yellow Springs Police dispatch, the suspects handed the teller a note demanding cash, took an as of yet undisclosed amount from the bank and left in a vehicle heading out of town. Yellow Springs Police received a call at 10:15, and an officer located the suspects and followed them to West Enon Road, at which point enough police backup had arrived to pull the vehicle over.
The suspects are two females and a male, apparently from Springfield, according to police, who as of 12:30 p.m. today were still questioning all three. Police have not released official information about the use of weapons, but according to WHIO TV, weapons were located inside the vehicle. Also according to WHIO, one of the female suspects matches the description of a person involved in a robbery at a Cedarville bank last Friday.
