Marching to the beat of a patriotic drum
- Published: July 6, 2012
Hundreds showed up to be in or spectate along Xenia Avenue Sunday for the Yellow Springs 4th of July parade. The cavalcade of floats, cars, bikes and people included bands, Boy Scouts, Odd Fellows, business owners, seniors, swimmers and zombies proudly acknowledging their membership to the local community. Red, white and blue abounded, and despite the broiling temperatures, it was all smiles all the time, especially for the hardworking children chasing candy being launched from the parade.
