Longtime villager Rae Dewey, 91, died at noon on Thursday, Feb. 21, at her home on Livermore Street, after a brief illness, with her family present. Rae and her late husband, George Dewey, had moved to Yellow Springs in the 1940s, and Rae continued to live here for 65 years. Until recently, she enjoyed walking downtown from her home across from the Antioch College campus. A memorial service is being planned for the summer. See the Feb. 28 News for an extended obituary.
