Evelyn Powers

Evelyn M. Powers of Springfield died June 17 in Vancrest Health Care Center, Urbana. She was 85.
Evelyn was born December 20, 1927 in Galloway, Ohio, to Joseph J. and Ethel B. (Madden) Cardosi. Evelyn worked for a number of years as a teller for Miami Deposit Bank, and later retired from the Village of Yellow Springs.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L., a daughter, Judith Lynn Wollenhaupt, and a granddaughter, Amy Stanley. Survivors include two sons and spouses, Steve (Merrelyn) Powers, Springfield, and Randy (Merry) Powers of Mutual, Ohio; a son-in-law, Dick Wollenhaupt of Centerville; three grandchildren, Lori Fulk, Brent Bushu and Andrew Powers and ten great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to their many friends and caregivers. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Evelyn’s name to a favorite charity.
