Veda Rae Meyer

Veda Rae Meyer of Yellow Springs passed away Sunday, July 14. She was 75.

She was born June 2, 1938, in Dayton, the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Camden) Moritz. Veda retired from the Fairborn City Schools after 23 years of service and was a member of Old Town United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Veda was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Moritz. She is survived her husband of 57 years, Frederic; three daughters, Kimberly (Randy) McCaslin of Beavercreek, Tamara (Richard) Swinford of Yellow Springs and Dawn (Shawn) McClanahan of Cedarville; five grandchildren, Bryan (Sheena) Swinford, Christopher (Lindsey) McCaslin, Lindsay McCaslin (fiancé Brandon Roots), Dustin McClanahan and Courtney McClanahan and two great-grandsons, Evan McCaslin and Symin Swinford, as well as 18 grand-pets.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19 at noon in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Hemming officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Condolences may be made to the family at http://www.BeltonStroup.com.
