Elsie Mae Johnson

Elsie Mae Johnson of Cincinnati, formerly of Yellow Springs, passed away Monday, Sept. 30 at Meadowbrook Skilled Nursing Home. She was 83.
Elsie was born on Nov. 6, 1929 to the late Paul and Helen (Frost) Hupman in Donnelsville, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Elsie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Charles Robert Johnson and a brother, Dale Hupman. She is survived by her sons Keith (Linda) Johnson and Rex (Kimberly) Johnson; daughters Michelle Johnson, Denise (Dwight) Pittenger and Carma (Ivy) Cook; grandchildren Amanda, Brett, Charles, Jan, Valerie, Sarah, Megan and Ian; and five great-grandchildren. Elsie was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Larry Bannick presiding. A visitation will be held two hours prior to services at Bethel Lutheran Church.
