The flowers on the dogwood tree at the First Presbyterian Church on Xenia Ave. are just starting to open, by the weekend it should be in full bloom!
Free dogwoods to return

In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, the YS Tree Committee and Corner Cone will again give away 125 young dogwood trees. The giveaway will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. The trees are approximately 24 to 30 inches tall, and are in pots, which means they will have a good chance of survival if they are given adequate and diligent care. Those who have not had good success with dogwoods in the past are urged to try again.
