Patricia Bittner

Patricia Bittner, of Yellow Springs, passed away on Dec. 18, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born to the late Victor and Nola Anderson on Sept. 14, 1930, in Dayton.
Patty worked at Vernay Labs, NCR Corp., Yellow Springs Clinic, FELS Research and retired from Wright State University in 1993. She enjoyed baking, shopping and spending time with family and friends. Patty was a lifelong member of the Yellow Springs United Methodist Church.
She leaves behind her brother Richard Anderson, of Granville; sister Linda Shook, of Yellow Springs; daughters Pam (Ron) Simington and Betsy (Mike) Gannon; 4 grandchildren, Cari Lairson, Cami Waller and Taylor and Haley Gannon; 5 great-grandchildren, Paeton, Kinady and Cameron Waller and Nola and Reece Lairson; many special nieces and nephews; and good friends Patty McAllister and Jean Linkhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son, Michael Grinnell; sister-in-law, Jody Anderson; and brother-in-law, Buddy Shook.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Friends Care Community and Hospice of Dayton for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. A memorial service was held at the Yellow Springs United Methodist Church on Dec. 20.
