Anita J. (Taylor) Sanderson

Anita J. (Taylor) Sanderson, 85, of Xenia, formerly of Yellow Springs, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born Oct. 26, 1929, in Xenia, the daughter of Howard J. and Nellie L. (Fudge) Taylor. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Bowersville, and the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She was a lifetime member of its alumni association, having been employed as a registered nurse for over 50 years. She was a member of the Faith Community United Methodist Church, and was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas T. Sanderson, New Mexico, and Jeffrey A. Sanderson, Asotin, Wash.; two grandchildren, J. Taylor Sanderson, Pullman, Wash., and Bailee Mae Sanderson, Kennewick, Wash.; by several nieces and nephews and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy B. Sanderson Jr., on Nov. 28, 1988; by a sister, Lucille I. (Johnston) Sanderson; and by two brothers, Warren J. Taylor, D.V.M., and Donald F. Taylor.
Anita was a loving mother, grandmother, wonderful woman and nurse who served her family, friends, patients and community, and who will be missed dearly. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 8, in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. There will be no visitation.
