- Published: November 12, 2015
Friday evening, Nov. 6, members of John Bryan Community Pottery fired up their wood kiln for the fourth time this year. Nicki Strouss fed the fire while Carol Culberston held open the kiln door and Brad Husk passed over the wood. The kiln burned for 17 hours, reaching 2300º F. It will be a week before it’s safe to remove the brick and reveal how the wood ash melted on the ceramic pieces.
