Lizzie Moore

Lizzie Moore of Fairborn, formerly of Yellow Springs, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015. She was 80.
Lizzie was born March 24, 1935, in Elliott County, Ky., the daughter of the late Emery and Nona (Eldridge) Adkins. She was well-loved and always had a smile on her face. She attended the Fairborn First Church of God Tabernacle for many years.
In addition to her parents, Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus “Junior,” in 2012; a son, Roger Moore; a daughter, Geraldine Pike; several siblings and a great-granddaughter, Lillian. She is survived by three children, Brenda (Charlie) Grooms, Tenn., Mark (Ann) Moore, Milford, Ohio and Ricky (Kay) Moore, of Fairborn; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers Lonza and Earl Adkins; sister Wilma Adkins and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Byron Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at http://www.beltonstroup.com.
