Mamie Rhone

Mamie Ruth Rhone, of Yellow Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at Kettering Medical Center. She was 87.

Mamie was born on June 22, 1928, in Palestine, Texas, to the late Luther and Amanda (Randolph) Butler. In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmore Mitchell Rhone; her son, Taylor Randolph Rhone; her son-in-law, Sholom Wacholder and numerous siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Michelle Rhone; grandchildren: Dacia Nichole Rhone, Jerrika Amanda Camille Rhone, Travis Mitchell Lamar Rhone, Aaron Chaim Wacholder and Jonah Hirsch Wacholder as well as a great-granddaughter, Kadesha Nichole Crockan.

Mamie was a long-time resident of Yellow Springs and attended Central Chapel A.M.E. She retired from the Department of Defense after 30 years as a computer programmer. She and Elmore enjoyed their time fishing and gardening together. Arrangements in care of Jackson Lytle and Lewis Funeral Home.
