Kingston Craig Milligan, 59, was born on May 9, 1956, the oldest child of Reverend Vance L. Milligan and Evelyn (Sims) Milligan. He departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016. Craig left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.

Craig grew up in Yellow Springs and lived in Yellow Springs and Springfield in his adult life. He graduated from Yellow Springs High School in 1975. He worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for almost 40 years as a contractor and served as a newspaper carrier for many years.  He always spoke that he loved his customers.

Craig was excellent in basketball and participated in performing in various plays with the Yellow Springs Center Stage. He had a passion for automobiles and keeping them looking sharp. He also was involved in the Big Brothers Program.

Craig’s greatest love was for the Lord Jesus Christ. He was involved in his church, Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, where he served by driving the church van, ushering, working in the nursery room with the children, as a trustee and participating in the men’s ministry. He was excited about the church’s new addition and helped out where needed.

Craig was preceded in death by his father Vance L. Milligan, grandparents Homer and Ida (Davis) Sims and James and Eddie Mae (Abbott) Milligan, his uncle Ronald Milligan and a host of close friends.

He is survived by his mother Evelyn (Sims) Milligan, of Yellow Springs; his brother Kevin Milligan, of Cincinnati; his sisters Melody (Milligan) Womack, of Yellow Springs, Valarie Milligan, of Cincinnati, Angela (Mathew) Plante, of Huntington, W.V. and Vanessa (Antonio) Milligan of Mobile, Ala.; nieces Carmen and LaTisha Plante of Huntington, W.V. and Briana Milligan and Jena Perryman of Mobile, Ala.; nephew Demetrius Plante of Huntington, W.V.; and several great- and great- great-  nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Craig will be missed by everyone who loved him and would want everyone to know that he is at home now rejoicing with his Lord and Savior! Service for Craig Milligan will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield,. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. and the service will begin at noon, with Pastor Ernest C. Brown officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Porter-Qualls-Dunlap Funeral Home.
