Pre-season soccer tournament kicks off this weekend

The annual YSHS pre-season boys’ soccer tournament will be held this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 15–17, at Morgan Fields and YSHS. Twenty-six teams from the Toledo, Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton areas will participate in the competition.
This event and its sponsors helps supplement the cost of soccer equipment not provided by the school, including nets (some of which have been vandalized), warm-up shirts for the team and cold weather gear. The tournament also helps fund participation in off-season tournaments during the summer.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and support the Bulldogs, who will be working hard throughout the tournament, not only as players, but to keep the event itself running smoothly. As the host team, YSHS players are required to assist with pre- and post-tournament setup and tear-down, cleaning restrooms throughout the tournament, trash collection and other assistance when needed. Parents will serve as field marshals, and golf carts will be provided to assist those with medical concerns.
