Art for the soul

Attendance at last week’s Art & Soul event at the Mills Lawn gym was down slightly, according to organizer Lisa Goldberg, who said art gallery friends told her the drop may be connected to the recent election, since about half the voters in a swing state like Ohio may feel financially insecure following the vote. But the event raised about $500 that Goldberg will donate to the Yellow Springs Police Coat Fund and the Lisa Goldberg YS Arts Scholarship at YSHS. About 34 artists from Ohio and Indiana took part in the event.
