Donna J. Riley

Donna Jean Riley, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, and was reunited with her beloved husband of 54 years, James A. Riley, who preceded her in death in 2011. She was 79.
Donna was born on Aug. 22, 1937, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Hartford and Thelma L. (McVey) Fenters. She retired from the Yellow Springs News in 2007, after many years of service as the office manager and receptionist. Donna loved spending time with family and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. She also enjoyed luncheons with the “Golden Girls” from the Springfield High School Class of ’55.
Donna is survived by three children, Teri (Doug) Vickers, Kerry (Vickie) Riley and Tami (Mike) Randall, all of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Joshua Hufford, Jamie Parrett, Roger and Curtis Owens, and Cody, Tyler and Kierra Riley; five great-grandsons, Jacob, Gabe, Charlie, Lason and Curt; one great-granddaughter, Colette; two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Conover and Ruth Fenters; and nieces and nephews Laura, Lisa, Susan, Mark, Cindy, Sharon and Mike. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny and Jerry, and a sister-in-law, Carlene.
A celebration of her life was held on Monday, Nov. 7, at Littleton and Rue Funeral Home, following a gathering of family and friends.
