Ordinance repealing and enacting New chapter 238 “Treasurer”

Interested persons will take note that the Village Council of Yellow Springs on Monday, November 7, 2016, gave first reading to an ordinance, text to follow.
Council gave a second reading and passed into law during a public hearing on Monday, November 21, 2016, in the Bryan Community Center, 100 Dayton St.
Whereas, On March 15, 1999 Village Council passed Resolution 99-14 which authorized an Investment Policy for the Village; and
Whereas, Chapter 238 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio details the Village’s Investment Policy; and
Whereas, Village Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the Village to adopt a new Chapter 238 entitled “Treasurer” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio in order to update the Investment Policy to reflect changes in investment laws and regulations,
NOW, THEREFORE, COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF YELLOW SPRINGS, OHIO HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
Section 1. Chapter 238 entitled “Treasurer” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio be repealed.
Section 2. A new Chapter 238 entitled “Treasurer” of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio be enacted to read as set forth on Exhibit A with new language underlined and deleted language in strikethrough, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force at the earliest date permitted by law.
