Andrë James Miner, 24, of Dayton, Ohio, formally of Yellow Springs, Ohio, on Feb. 18, 2017, spread his wings to embrace the Lord. 

He was born Oct. 18, 1992, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Patricia (Tish) Walker and William Miner Jr., stepfather Kent Harding and stepmother Melissa Miner. He graduated from Yellow Springs High School in 2011.

Andrë loved spending time with his family, listening to music, being with his friends, cooking and eating and dressing up. Andrë always gave people hugs, words of encouragement, and was there if you needed him. His smile was contagious. 

He leaves to cherish his parents; four sisters, Alisha (James) Walker-Garrison, Erika (Austin) Harding Mertens and Cara and Hali Miner; four brothers, Jared, Aaron, Jordan and Adrain Miner; grandparents Roxie Crowder, Stephen (Teresa) Walker and Elaine Miner; one special aunt, Tina Walker; three special cousins, Raymond Taylor and Javion and Devonte Hatch; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends and special teachers; and his precious dogs, Mee-Shi and Honey. 

Service for Andrë Miner was held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Central Chapel A.M.E. Church, 411 S. High St., Yellow Springs. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. Interment followed at Glen Forest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to US Bank in Yellow Springs to Andrë Miner Memorial Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Porter-Qualls-Dunlap Funeral Home.
