Chili stare

Twenty people submitted sumptuous entries to this year’s McKinney Middle School Chili Cook-off, held Saturday, Feb. 25. The annual fundraiser garnered $948 this year for the eighth-grade trip to Washington D.C. Winner in the adult category was Kim Meier, while the student winners were siblings Bobby and Morris Wyatt, pictured above with rival Zan Holtgrave, who not so sutbly insisted the boys refrain from betting on winning. The People’s Choice Award went to eighth-grader Sam Lewis.
