Clara B. Bailey

Clara B. Bailey, age 78, of Springfield, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 14, 1938 to the late Murrel and Gladys (Sharpe) Klontz in Jeffersonville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bailey; her daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Charles King; and two grandchildren, Leason and Nigel King. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Melanie (Michael) Gillespie, Chris (Carolyn) Bailey and Teresa (Greg) Heasley; grandchildren Nick, Katie, Drew, Carly, Scott and Garrett; and six great-grandchildren.
Clara retired as the “Little General” from YSI and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and cooking.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jackson Lytle and Lewis Funeral Home in Yellow Springs. A funeral will follow on Saturday, March 25, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Glen Forest Cemetery.
