Let the renovations begin! Three Mills Lawn sixth-graders wielded the big scissors and snipped the ribbon at the MLS tennis courts on Friday, May 19, kicking off a transformation of the tennis court area using designs developed by a winning student team, Intricate Design.

All sixth-graders took part in designing and leading the transformation, and all ideas are reflected in aspects of the winning design, according to Amin at the event. The school received a $13,699 Toolbox for Education grant from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation to fund the renovation. After the photo-op, students got to work, beginning clean-up of the site.
