Louise Simons died Oct. 9, 2017. She was 78.
After graduating from Duke University, Louise lived in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Louisville for several years before moving to Chicago, where she worked in K–12 textbook publishing, primarily in the areas of social studies and language arts. She subsequently worked until retirement for a private investment partnership. In 2007, she and her husband, Richard, moved from the Chicago area to Yellow Springs, where Richard had taught music in the public schools and at Antioch College during the 1960s.
She will be missed by Richard and his three daughters, their children and grandchildren, as well as by friends and by her late brother’s family. No formal funeral or memorial services will be conducted.
