Last Thursday, April 5, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue visited the Miami Township Fire-Rescue to learn about the new fire station project. The visit was part of a three-day Midwest tour highlighting USDA programs in Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. The Township is using a USDA Rural Development Program loan to fund the construction of the new station, which will be paid back with the recently passed levy.
