William Cernetic

William Cernetic, age 72, of Cedarville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born July 20, 1946, in McKees Rocks, Penn.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian (Simcich) Cernetic.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda (Chatfield) Cernetic; children, Joshua (Tami) Cernetic, of Xenia, Michaela (Jeremy) Bolton, of Cedarville, and Faith Cernetic of Cedarville; sister, Nancy Byrge, of Huber Heights; and grandsons, Ethan Bolton and Asher Cernetic, as well as many friends.
Bill graduated from Yellow Springs High School, class of 1964. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Kittyhawk during the Vietnam Conflict. He was the owner of Trinity Automotive, which he saw as a way to reach the unsaved and serve others. Bill loved the Lord and was a good counselor and faithful servant. He had many adopted children around the country. He had a big heart and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served on many short-term mission trips to the Dominican Republic. In keeping with Bill’s desire to help others, his family asks that donations be made to Daystar Baptist Missions, PO Box 1193, Barboursville, W.Va. 25504, in lieu of flowers.
Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, with Pastor Bobby Hile officiating. Visitation was held the previous evening at the church.
