Exhibition to feature ‘spiritual landscapes’
- Published: March 30, 2019
Paintings and photographs by locally based artist Scott Randall Lindberg will be on display throughout the month of April at the ReMax Plus Realty gallery at 257 Xenia Ave, downtown Yellow Springs.
According to Lindberg, who is also a musician and writer, the collection of visual works, titled “Embracing the Divine Through Nature: Spiritual Landscapes,” represents 25 years of life experiences.
The show goes on display Monday, April 1, and will be on view during regular business hours. An open-house style reception with the artist will be Friday, April 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. The reception also will include acoustic music by Ivy Rose and refreshments.
Lindberg holds a bachelor’s degree in contemporary religions and psychology from Fresno Pacific University, where he also studied piano and voice. A self-taught artist in watercolor and mixed media, Lindberg feels his visual art work echoes his blues and jazz improvisational style of music performance. He writes that music and visual art are both opportunities to express his “heart stories … venues to present, in form, the Divine in play.”
