Villager Eric Johnson has two solar arrays on his High Street home and is now helping other villagers go solar through the solar co-op model.

Solar co-op to host info meeting

The recently formed Greene County Solar Co-op will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 8, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Glen Helen Ecology Institute building, 405 Corry St., Yellow Springs.

The co-op is open to residents of Greene County and surrounding counties, and allows members to benefit from the knowledge of neighbors, friends and statewide experts as well as save money when installing solar at home.

The informational meeting is sponsored by Solar United Neighbors, a national nonprofit whose network includes affiliate groups in Ohio; Tecumseh Land Trust; Home, Inc.; Glen Helen; Mothers Out Front; Community Solutions; and the Green Environmental Coalition.
