Ronald R. Fisher, age 82, of Springfield, passed away at home on Aug. 15, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Faye (Bolin) Fisher, and his brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Clark); children Leigh Fisher Calvez and Douglas (Jill) Fisher; grandchildren Ellie Calvez, Simon and Claire Fisher; and a sister, Linda Printz.
Ron grew up in Yellow Springs and graduated from Bryan High School in 1955, served in the Army, worked as a Master Plumber and retired as the Clark County Plumbing Inspector. For many years he volunteered his time coaching soccer in Enon and working with 4-H and the Clark County Fair. He loved raising sheep and helping exhibitors with their lamb projects. He was an Ohio State fan, and always carried buckeyes from his yard to share with anyone for luck or planting while traveling across the country to visit family or attend sheep shows and sales.
The family will have a private ceremony at a future date. Please consider a donation to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton or the Clark County 4-H Endowment Fund at clark.osu.edu/give-now.
