Chili con carnival

Stella Lieff stirred her savory entry at “Blue Stew,” a chili cook-off/talent show organized by the Yellow Springs High School Student Government and Community Committee and held on Sunday, Feb. 2. Elizabeth Brevik won overall with her chicken tortilla chili, while Tiemen Loy (Vault-Tecs Meaty Chili) and Morris Wyatt (Texanati Chili) received honorable mentions. In the talent show, Javier Baisden won best in music, Vera Roberts was best in comedy and Sophie Bernick was the overall winner. (Photo by Kathleen Galarza)
