Mae Brown

Mae Wagstaff Dorsey-Brown went to be with the Lord on Nov. 19, 2020, at her home in Yellow Springs.

Mae was born to the Rev. William and Oddie Wagstaff, who preceded her in death, in Uniontown, Ala. She grew up in Dayton, where she graduated from Roosevelt High School.  She pursued a career working at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, from which she ultimately retired after many years.

Mae is survived by her daughters, Arman Davis and Anauta Capers, of Florida; and her son, Kimo Brown, of Yellow Springs. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her creative style, quick wit and love of art and antiques.

Mae was laid to rest in the natural section of Glen Forest Cemetery. Anyone interested can make a donation in her memory to Central Chapel AME Church at 411 High St., Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Arrangements were entrusted to Porter-Qualls-Freeman Funeral Home.
