Antioch College welcomes Class of 2025

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Antioch College’s incoming Class of 2025 got their first taste of college life on Wednesday, Aug. 25, when Orientation 2021 kicked off.

After a stop at the campus nurse to take a COVID test, new Antiochians were able to pick up their residence keys and prepare for several days of group informational sessions, meals and free time before the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 30.

New students also gathered for the customary class picture on the steps of Antioch Hall. Though 35 are pictured here, 43 new students participated in orientation. The college reported that 63% of this year’s new students are Ohio residents; 32% are first-generation college students; 27% are transfer students; 26% are people of color; and 20% are LGBTQ identified.

Oh, I understand now. “Thank you!” The B & W Antioch film is ‘pretty’ but it is intended to be a spoof. Oddly, that IS exactly how I remember that era dating in nearby Springfield. We wore clothes and everything! That’s not saying, we didn’t occasionally tour the village to see how the ‘other half’ lived. Those were the days!

    Feature Film,

Dennie Eagleson, the photographer, was in the Antioch graduating class of 1971.

I believe the date ascribed to the photograph may be incorrect.

If it had been 1971 students would resemble those in this short film from 1968.
