Yellow Springs Street Fair returns Oct. 11
- Published: October 9, 2025
The annual Fall Street Fair, presented by the YS Chamber of Commerce, will be Saturday, Oct. 11, with craft and food vendors open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. in the downtown Yellow Springs thoroughfares. This year’s event will boast 170 craft and service vendors, as well as 26 food vendors.
Live entertainment will be staged at two locations — the “Community Stage” in front of Jackson, Lytle & Lewis, at 322 Xenia Ave., and at “Backyard Beats + Brews Fest,” in front of the John Bryan Community Center — from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Tronee Threat will be the emcee at the latter location.
In recent years, over 25,000 attendees have attended the semiannual Street Fair.
According to Chamber of Commerce Director Phillip O’Rourke, a marked difference between this Street Fair and past fairs is the ongoing closure of Short Street to vehicular traffic, and for this event, vendors as well.
“Previously Short Street served as the main access point for Xenia Avenue load-in,” O’Rourke wrote to the News. “With its closure, the two primary access points for vendor arrival and departure will be Glen and Dayton streets.”
He added: “Although this is an adjustment, it provides the opportunity for a more streamlined vendor arrival and departure process.”
In lieu of the vendor space on Short Street, there will be more vendors lining South Walnut Street than in years past — specifically, between the intersections of Walnut and Limestone streets and Walnut and Dayton streets.
“This year’s festival layout has been thoughtfully designed to enhance the experience for all,” O’Rourke said, noting that the aim of the redesign is to “better showcase the downtown business district.”
As ever, Street Fair is pet-free, with exceptions for individuals with service animals. Portable restrooms will be located throughout the festival; the Train Station will be closed.
