To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted … — Ecclesiastes 3:1–2
Nancy Elizabeth Foster was the first of five children born to the holy union of Newton W. and C. Inez (Johnson) Foster on April 22, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio.
She attended Mad River-Green Local School District, currently known as Greenon Local School District, and was a 1977 graduate of Greenon High School. She was a dedicated employee of Sumaria Systems from June 15, 2015, up until her death.
Nancy’s proudest moments in life were the birth and raising of her two beautiful children, to whom she was a devoted and loving mother.
Nancy, age 65, of Yellow Springs, Ohio, transitioned peacefully Thursday Oct. 23, 2025, surrounded with love by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, uncle and maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother; two children, Joshua Foster and Kristen Percival (Derek); two brothers, Joe Foster (Debbie) and W. Eric Foster; two sisters, Linda Wissinger (Mike) and Cheryl Eberhart; four grandchildren Imogene, Damian, Dimitri and Odin; one nephew, Michael Eberhart Jr. (Shikeria); five nieces, LaDawna Eberhart, Sara Bangura (Foday), Jessica Wissinger, Jordan Savory (Zion), Taryn Foster; five great-nephews and four great-nieces; her cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends, who will truly miss her.
Nancy was loved and cherished by many people, family, friends, co-workers and a host of others who knew and called her daughter, sister, mother, cousin, aunt, friend and confidant.
Nancy’s most favorite things to do were spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and making sure she was there with them on their birthdays and playing games on her phone and iPad. She also loved spending time with her friends at the movies or just going out to dinner.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to breast cancer awareness research in Nancy’s name.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at City Church, Fairborn, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at noon.
