Last year two drug-related arrests in a single incident were made in Yellow Springs by the ACE Task Force, the Greene County agency that fights drug-related crimes at a multijurisdictional level.
Two heavy marijuana traffickers were arrested in Yellow Springs on Thursday night, March 3, in a joint bust.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 26 and 27, three Springfield residents were arrested in Yellow Springs for trafficking in cocaine and heroin. The Yellow Springs Police offered assistance in serving warrants and apprehending John E. Taylor, Gregory T. Rydell and Kareem Crosley. The incidents were sting operations using undercover operatives, and the lead agency conducting the so-called “roundup,” was the Greene County A.C.E. Task Force.
Yellow Springs police, the Greene County Prosecutor and the Greene County Agencies for Combined Enforcement (A.C.E.) announced at a press conference on Friday, May 2, that a Greene County grand jury has indicted former Yellow Springs resident Umoja Iddi Bakari with 22 counts related to his running a drug ring between Columbus and Yellow Springs.
