Soccer to resume

The spring season of recreational soccer will resume the week ending Saturday, April 10. Team rosters and coaches continue playing together as organized in the fall. Games for Bronze Cup, grades 1–3, and Silver Cup, grades 4–5, are scheduled for Saturday mornings. Games for Gold Cup, grades 6–8, will be held Friday evenings. All games will be held at the Morgan Fields located at the corner of East Enon Road and Dayton Street. Coaches will contact their players to organize practices prior to their first game, at which time schedules for the remaining weeks will be provided.

Copper Cup, for preschool and kindergarten-aged children, begins each Saturday with open practice time at 10 a.m. and games from 11 a.m.–noon. These beginning soccer players are often assisted by coaches, parents or mentors on the field, so parents are encouraged to help as able.

Volunteers with willingness and ability are always welcome to help with field maintenance and officiating games. For more information, contact Philip Bottelier about Copper Cup at 767-7875, Bob Curley about Bronze Cup at 767-7070, or Bill and Lynn Hardman about Silver or Gold Cup at 767-8433 or hardmansoccer@sbcglobal.net.
