A Winter Farmers’ Market

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail can keep away a Yellow Springs Farmers’ Market. For those who are more than just fair weather foodies, you can still get fresh, local food every Saturday at the Winter Farmers’ Market. The market, which began last Saturday, is located in the basement of the Methodist Church at the corner of Dayton St and Winter St.

It may not be as picturesque as an open-air market, but you can get fresh food just the same. And yes, there are definitely seasonal goodies this time of the year, such as freshly tapped maple syrup, truly one of winter’s greatest culinary delights, along with fresh kale from the Flying Mouse Farm. If you value eating fresh and local all year long, pop on in the Methodist Church from nine until noon on Saturdays.
